Shea Butter

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) is one of our foundational ingredients. It is high in Stearic and Oleic acid which is essential to the skin. The butter is extracted from the nuts of the Karite tree which grows mostly in Ghana but is also found in the Ivory Coast. It is known for its lovely moisturizing properties and it melts easily into the top layers of the skin. It is full of antioxidants, Vitamin A & E making it a very nourishing skin food. It works wonders for very dry skin, eczema, irritated or recovering skin.

K Butter uses unrefined Shea Butter and is offered whipped or natural. Both are excellent choices depending on your preference.

Vitamin D

When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from the cholesterol in your skin cells. This process is known as Vitamin D synthesis and is essential for optimizing your body's health. Sun exposure is the best way to boost your Vitamin D levels but sometimes that isn't enough. Factors that can affect your Vitamin D levels can include where you live, season of the year, and climate. Our products are handcrafted and thoughtfully blended for this purpose.

Avocado Oil is a great source for healthy fatty acids (Lutein, Omega 6, Omega 3 and Oleic) & vitamins A and E. Unlike most lotions, Avocado Oil helps the body absorb other fat-soluble nutrients. The high protein levels & amino acids reduce the appearance of scars, aid in reducing wrinkles & produce collagen. Avocado Oil also contains a large number of antioxidants such as carotenoids, which help fight aganist free radicals & improve your skin health. Our Avocado oil is hand pressed from the pulp of ripe Avocados.
